Yesterday we had church and then after at about 3 we had to cross the
river/ocean to do a special sacrament there. It was an amazing
experience. We all just sat in this little bamboo hut/ house, had a
mini sacrament, and a mini testimony meeting. While it was pouring
rain, and no power. But it was great! THe spirit was so strong. THen
afterwards you ahve to take a little canoe boat thing to the main
island. but because of the rain it was flooding and the current was so
strong. so we made it to the weird litle island in the middle and then
walked across... the 3 others that were with us got in the boat to go
the rest of the way... but my compnaion and I just decided to walk.
the water wasn't that high... only about to the middle of my thighs.
ha. no big deal. We were soaked from the rain and from the ocean. but
it was a great experience!
The other day.. Friday I think, we bought 5 coconuts! haha. and made
buko salad. It was so good! And we took pictures at the beach. And we
just are finding lots of investigators! They aren't really
progressing, but they will. Becasue we have faith!
I've been studying about charity lately and I found a really amazing
quote from President monson. In a hundred small ways, all of you wear
the mantle of charity. Life is perfect for none of us. Rather than
being judgmental and critical of each other, may we have the pure love
of Christ for our fellow travelers in this journey through life. May
we recognize that each one is doing her best to deal with the
challenges which come her way, and may we strive to do our best to
help out.
